LanGkaWi…HeRe wE CoMe! (Part 1)

Assalam and hello to all…

A few weeks back on Thursday night, I and my husband went to Langkawi for honeymoon (don't know how many times already, because everyday is honeymoon day to us)…we went there with our very best friend, Jasrul and his wife, his brother and his future brother-in-law, Arif with 18 other couples.

NIGHT 1

We head to STAR (not quite sure the full name of the school) at 6.15p.m. We were informed that the bus will arrived at 8p.m but we waited until 9 p.m, still no sign of the bus. Then at 9.15p.m the bus arrived and we quickly pack up our things in the bus and started the journey around 9.40 p.m…Two buses were set up for this vacation…
The bus headed to Kuala Perlis, the point where we need to take ferry next… It's not quite a smooth journey. Although I slept almost all night, I was informed that the bus we're riding stops for 1 or 2 hours to wait for the second bus change to another bus because of some problem…Then we continue our journey and make a few stops at R&R (Rehat & Rawat- highway facilities) before reach Kuala Perlis…

DAY 1

A hill which has been "cut off" by deforestation…but nice ray of light there…

We suppose to reach the jetty terminal around 10 a.m. but we delayed 2½ hours. Since its Friday, Muslim locals have Solat Jumaat, so the ferry will only be available starting at 1.30p.m. So we have to wait for another hour before we can board the ferry… we ate lunch at the nearest food stall and sat there until 1.15 p.m….Some more bad news… the ferry is delayed for about ½ an hour…so we can board the ferry at 2.00 p.m.

In the tentative, we have Island Hopping activity in the evening started from 3p.m. but guess where we are at 3p.m…? Hahahaha… we're still on the ferry…. We reached the Kuah Jetty at 3.20 p.m and take the provided bus to the hotel (Langkasuka Hotel). When we checked-in the room, we're surprise to see 3 beds with one extra mattress on the floor, meaning that 2 couples in one room…Another bad news… this is like "A Series of Unfortunate Event!" (movie)…haha….we really dissatisfied with the organizer and the hotel. So we went down and ask them to separate our room. It's impossible for us to have a true honeymoon with a condition like that…the problem still not solved until 4.30 p.m…so we decided to take a taxi/van to small jetty since my husband already booked a boat for Island Hopping activity and didn't want to cancel it… we went to a few island around Langkawi , one of them is Pulau Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maiden Island) – the island really look like a pregnant women…

See?

We went to the lake in the island to take a swim and drink the water…According to the legend, anyone who bathe and drink the water there Insyallah will get pregnant (only applied to those who don't have any children yet, whether have pregnant and miscarriage or never pregnant before). The scientific study said that the pH of the water at the lake is suitable for women to get pregnant… The lake is 10m deep…so you'll never found or step the base of the lake… This is the picture of the lake taken from google image:

A very small gap between the sea around it and the lake... Masyallah...

There were not many picture I snap here because I really want to feel the air around… very nice scenery…we were brought to Bras Basah Island, only see from a far since it almost dark , and see eagle feeding (although it is almost 7p.m and the birds had gone home, we still manage to see a couple of eagle flying around and fly down to take food given to them…). Then we were brought to Awana Hotel (just look from a far, sitting on the boat…).

After the Island Hopping activity, we rent a van (really old-looking van) to go back to the hotel…after we had a short rest and done the Solat, we went to Restoran Nelayan (Fisherman Restaurant) to have dinner. We were the last customer there and we really had a meal… we ordered seafood (prawn, crab, and 2 big fish for the night…really hungry….) and ate as much as we can…haha..

Again, blur picture because of my camera is not good if its dark…

Then we went back to the hotel… the room problem is not yet solve, but since the organizer couldn't find other room for either of us, our friend, Jasrul had kind–hearted to give the whole room to us whereas he, his wife and his son sleeps in his friend's room (in front of our room) since they too bring their daughter to the vacation. We felt a little guilt and sad for what happen…but we had no choice…huhu…

To be continued….

TiMe tO gO

Assalam and Hello to all...

This is the 2nd part of PULAPOL Journey...

After we finish our shopping, we head back home and again my husband has to cook for the whole family ... we ate plain white rice with two to three dishes... then my mother and father-in-law with their two sons pack their things because we have to send them to train station. They have to go back to Kelantan that night.

We reach the station at about 7.00 p.m. The train suppose to reached the station at 7.45 p.m but then they announced the train will be delayed and reached the station at 8.30 p.m. So the long waiting started....

Wait....Waiting....

Then the train came at 8.45p.m...What a relief...!

So we help them with their things and head to their cabin.

The train take the leave...

Tata...have a safe journey...

Then we went back home and have a big chit chat with the other family back home...

17th May 2010

11 - 4 = 7

So left with 7 people in the house...plus 2, me and my husband.. I have to go to work that morning so I woke up at 5 a.m, take a bath and prepare a few dishes for the Nasi Lemak, then went off to work. when my husband woke up, he prepare the 'sambal tumis' (pronounce: some-bell two-mist) (cooked chilli paste for the rice). Then I went home for a while and ate Nasi Lemak together . They went back to Perak with their MPV at about 9.00 a.m. and we escort them until the entrance road to the highway and head back home. My husband sent me to my car and I drove back to office while my husband take a rest at home......
