Assalamu'alaikum and hello to readers. Its been a long time since I last write in this blog. This time I want to share my story of vacation in Sabah.
We flew from Johor Bahru to Sabah on 19 November at 10.15am,
10 minutes earlier than scheduled. This is the second time I took a flight to
go somewhere. The first time was last year in February, flew to Penang to my
Sister-in-Law’s place. First time experience, I slept along the way because I
can’t take the air pressure when the plane took off. Anyway, that journey is
shorter that this one. It took 2 hours to reached Sabah. This time I didn’t
sleep at all. Feel a little bit dizzy.
The plane land on Terminal 2 coz we board AirAsia Flight. It
was drizzling when the plane land. We wait for about half an hour for my
husband’s younger brother came with the car that we rented. It was baby blue
Myvi 1.3cc. As soon as the he found us, they drove us to D’ Lengkuas Restaurant,
which serves Thai and Kelantanese food, food that suits our taste. Next they send us to Promenade Hotel to
check-in and put our luggage first before sending my brother-in-law (we called
him Madi) and his friend to their home at Inanam.
We just drove around Kota Kinabalu for sight seeing and to fimiliarize with the route there. With the help of GPS in my husband's Galaxy tablet PC, we manage to drove around without getting lost.
At night my brother-in-law, Madi took us to eat seafood at stalls near Filipina Market. We walk around to see and ask the price of the seafood there before we decide. We sat at one of the stall which has fresh seaweed. They served the seaweed and several other item to spice up the seaweed. not to forget lime to 'cook' the seaweed. They also served Umai which is raw fish, but don't asked me what type of fish is it. Big type, maybe.
Both brothers choose the food they want while I sat there watched over my children as the place was near to the sea. when the food arrived, some are really unexpected by us. They asked for cockles (kerang) but instead they give mussel (kepah). But my son do like the mussel. I ate 2 plate of rice as I am really starving. I also ate the Umai and seaweed not wanted to remember one fact. We sent Madi home and we head back to our hotel to recharge for the next trip tomorrow.
That one fact is really important as I will continue in the Day 2 of our vacation in Sabah.
